Orontium aquaticum
L. 1753
It is native to the North America.
As the species name says it is an aquatic or paludous plant.
I saw these plants in a garden center, but none of them was blooming.

I bought one plant in spring of 2009 and put into the water in the garden.
During the season it produced 3 or 4 leaves.
It survived the winter in water in zone 6, and started to grow, but the soil began to rot and the plant died.
